Bonheur Patisserie V: Where happiness dwells

It's my fifth "official" visit to the patisserie. Even though there's a whole lot of cafes and bars I could chill off  the afternoon for tea amidst Duxton (Many of them, I have never try yet) but somehow, just somehow I will find myself way back here...
Is it really because of the sleek whiter than white interior that keeps me coming back for more? Maybe it is but I can't speak for you. All I know was I caught my best friend ogling at cakes!

Did I mention to you this best friend of mine so happen to be one of my many primary school friends whom I know for almost a decade? I think it's really amazing to have her for afternoon tea although both of us wished there's a few more of us too. For instant, our other best friend whom I like to call her the professional photographer?
My friend took Lumix 5 and started snapping pictures but little did I know that she snapped shot of me ogling deciding which petite cake I should go for. It's such a nerve-wrenching decision to make when you have already tried almost everything at least once...
Just recently, the folks at Bonhuer decided to offer lunch to their diners. From what I know off, they change their menu on a regular basis.
Knowing that my partner didn't had lunch so I told her to get the Cream of Mushroom served with Foccacia. Sometimes, it's really annoying whenever I ask my dining partners how the food fare but only to get that generic answer. Good. Can't people describe more about the taste?

Not believing my partner's verdict, I decided to take a scoop and guess what? I too gave that one answer response. The creamy broth was rich but not overpowering with that fungus taste. Coupled with a few loaf of Foccacias, I would say it's a fair deal at $10.90. For me, I learnt my lesson. Sometimes you don't really need jargon to describe everything. Simplicity will do the same justice too!
When my friend decided to get her Snapple drink, I realized I haven't had Snapple in years. Seriously?!
While waiting for my partner to finish her soupy lunch, I decided to go for the Chocolate Hazelnut Nut ($8.00). To be exact, I went for the Mini Champagne Macaron, indulging the petite piece like any French parisian would do. I'm just content that it tasted better than the last time I tried.
The chocolate within the circular walls of the crust was thick and rich, siding on the bitter-sweet side compared to the milky-sweet chocolate though. That's not all for hidden amidst all those luxurious chocolate, lies all the hazelnuts you can ever imagine!
Iced Yuzu Tea, a personal favorite of mine.
We were told by the staff that we could get a normal size cake instead of a petite one if we add an additional $3 to the set lunch. My friend settled on the Earl Grey Chocolate ($7.50) which I had tried once back some time ago. Dull to the naked eye but never lacking taste wise. I love the intensity of the Earl Grey Mousse coupled with the sweet and fruity Raspberry Jam. It's a good cake that's my assurance to you.

With such wonderful friends that I've brought over for tea from the first till now, surely this must be a place where happiness will always dwell...
